- Practical tools and examples including artist residencies, teacher training, and children’s artistic workshops that led to original stories and stop-motion animations.
- A complete suite of resources: the Green Tales Toolkit, creative practices collection, artist guidelines, and story/video packs—freely available for schools and communities.
- Policy recommendations at the EU, national, and local levels to help embed creative, arts-based sustainability learning into mainstream education.
Why it matters
Green Tales shows that meaningful environmental learning does not require complex technology or large budgets. With a few tablets, recycled materials, and strong partnerships between teachers, artists, and communities, children can become creators, storytellers, and active citizens who care for their environment.
A call to scale up
The recommendations outline clear steps to sustain and expand this work:
- EU support for open resource hubs, cross-border exchanges, and micro-credentials
- National curriculum recognition, teacher training pathways, and artist-in-schools frameworks
- Local coordination, community showcases, lending pools of basic equipment, and equity-focused funding
