Established in 1973, Cukurova University (CU) stands as one of Turkey’s leading institutions, boasting modern infrastructure and facilities. Ranked within the top 500 globally and among the top five in Turkey, CU comprises 19 faculties, 2 colleges, 11 vocational schools, 1 state conservatory, 4 institutes, and 38 research and application centers. With a faculty of 2,297, CU educates a diverse student body totaling 48,173, including foundation degree, undergraduate, and graduate students. As a research-focused university, CU prioritizes internationalization through numerous bilateral Erasmus agreements, MoUs, and Mevlana Protocols with European and non-European institutions, alongside its membership in the European University Association (EUA). In 2012, CU initiated self-evaluation efforts, leading to the establishment of the Çukurova University Academic Evaluation and Quality Development Council (ÇÜ-ADEK). This council formulated directives, guided by past analyses and current assessments, to shape future goals and policies. CU remains committed to enhancing teaching, training, administrative services, and overall quality assurance, exemplified by regular mission, vision, and goal revisions across all units.
